Join the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore to participate in the Great Baltimore Oyster Partnership.

Be part of the restoration of oysters in Baltimore by caring for juvenile oysters growing in cages hanging at the Downtown Sailing Center. We will clean cages, monitor oyster growth, and study marine life in the Harbor.

This activity involves kneeling, lifting and bending.

Youth ages 16 years and up can attend with adult supervision.

COVID-19 Precautions:

  • CBF requires CDC-approved masks for all attendees at indoor events or outdoor events, such as this one, when physical distancing isn’t possible.
  • We strongly recommend that attendees of our outdoor events are vaccinated.
  • For the health and safety of our volunteers, CBF requires that all volunteers complete CBF’s Health and COVID Screening Form prior to engaging in any volunteer efforts. This includes conducting a personal COVID health screening prior to the start of the event.
  • If you or an immediate family member have symptoms of, or have been diagnosed with, COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from participating and contact the event manager directly to cancel, make alternative plans, or if you have questions.

Please keep in mind that we will be limiting the number of volunteers who can participate in this event. Only register if you intend to participate on the day of the event; if you find that your schedule or health prevents you from being able to attend, please notify us immediately so we can recruit another volunteer in your place.

Registration closes November 18.
