Since 2010, Anne Arundel County has lost 2,775 acres of forests—more than any other Maryland county by a wide margin.
The loss of this natural filter harms local water quality and removes countless other health, economic, and environmental benefits. But change is in the air.
Join us in Annapolis before the public hearing on Council Bill #68-19, as we rally together to save Anne Arundel County forests and ask the County Council to support the bill. Bill #68-19 would implement a multi-pronged approach to conserving the county's forests, including stricter replanting requirements, clearer standards to protect priority forests, and increased fines for violations.
After the rally, stick around to attend the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. and sign up to testify in support of Council Bill #68-19!
