Join us in planting conservation corners throughout the Hopewell community. These small gardens filled with native plants reduce fertilizer use and flooding, attract pollinators, and protect local streams.
We will be planting a wide variety of small to medium-sized plants and shrubs. All tools, gloves, and instructions will be provided. Wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle. Please register for the site you'd like to assist with below so we can bring the appropriate number of tools.
We will plant conservation corners at four locations. Please refer to the schedule below and register for the location where you would like to volunteer:
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Weston Circle, Hopewell
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: 107 Prince George Ave, Hopewell
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: 603 Brown Ave, Hopewell
We are taking safety precautions to prevent spread of the COVID-19 virus including limiting the number of volunteers who can participate in this event to enable proper social distancing.
Only register if you intend to participate on the day of the event; if you find that your schedule or health prevents you from being able to attend, please notify us immediately so we can recruit another volunteer in your place.
If you have questions, please contact Gabby Troutman at email@example.com or 804-258-1605.
This event is co-sponsored with Hopewell Recreation and Parks.
