2019 VoiCeS Annapolis

Monday, October 14, 2019
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
CBF's Philip Merrill Environmental Center
6 Herndon Avenue
Annapolis, MD 21403

This intensive multi-week program is held on six consecutive Monday evenings from 6:00-8:30 p.m., from October 14 through November 18, 2019. There will also be a field trip, to be scheduled.

CBF created the Volunteers as Chesapeake Stewards (VoiCeS) program in 2004 as a way to reach out to local individuals and communities to create a deeper understanding of the Bay and the efforts to restore it. VoiCeS is CBF's most in-depth adult education program available to its members and the public.

In this professionally taught course, you will learn about

  • Bay science and fisheries,
  • pollution problems and solutions,
  • farm and urban issues,
  • Bay history and ecology, and
  • how to play a personal role in restoration efforts in your local waters and the Bay.

Participants are expected to attend at least five of the six classroom sessions, as well as a field trip. Successful graduates receive CBF's designation as "Chesapeake Stewards."

This is always a popular offering and space is limited. Register today for a deep-dive exploration of Chesapeake Bay and clean water issues!

Materials fee: $25/individual, $40/couple
