Help CBF plant 1,200 trees on six acres along the headwaters of Friends Creek on a beautiful farm in the Harbaugh Valley of the Catoctin Mountains. Friends Creek is a cold-water stream, stocked with trout by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources downstream, and is a tributary to the Monocacy River. This is the first phase of planting 18 acres of forested riparian buffer along Friends Creek.
CBF is partnering with the US Fish and Wildlife Service on this project and funding is through WGL Energy/Sterling Planet's Carbon Reduction Fund.
Please bring your own shovel, work gloves, food, and enough water to get you through the event. We will have a limited number of sanitized supplies and clean gloves for those that do not have their own.
