REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Registration closes October 14.
Join us for a day of planting trees at Hickory Hill Community Center. Volunteers will work in shifts to plant trees that will provide shade and green space, reduce local temperatures and electricity bills, and absorb rainwater and pollution.
We will be planting a variety of medium-sized trees, but the holes will be partially pre-augered. No prior experience planting is necessary! We will provide all of the tools, gloves, and instructions necessary for a successful planting. Wear weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring your own water bottle. Please register below so we can bring the appropriate number of tools.
COVID-19 Precautions:
Please keep in mind that we will be limiting the number of volunteers who can participate in this event. Only register if you intend to participate on the day of the event. If you find that your schedule or health prevents you from being able to attend, please notify us immediately so we can recruit another volunteer in your place.
If you have questions, please contact Gabby Troutman at gtroutman@cbf.org or 804-258-1605.
This event is co-sponsored with City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Department, Southside ReLeaf and Groundworks RVA.
