While unprecedented social restrictions make CBF's bimonthly Brock Environmental Center Learning Series impossible to do in-person for the time being, the issues remain as important as ever. So we have moved this popular series online, increasing the number of available seats—and making the program monthly!

Did you know that farmers are crucial partners for saving the Bay? It is estimated that widespread use of priority practices on Bay-region farms can reduce the amount of nitrogen pollution going into the Bay by as much as 60 percent. CBF works alongside the agriculture community to advise and advocate for the best management practices that will not only improve the agriculture community's bottom line, but also clean up creeks, rivers, and the Bay.

From leveraging solar power to moving cows to new pastures, this webinar promises to educate attendees on why this partnership works for reducing pollution to the Bay. Join us to learn more about the connection between agriculture and clean water — and how you can support the effort.

Featured Speakers:

• Matt Kowalski is CBF’s Virginia Watershed Restoration Scientist. Matt works on habitat restoration and focuses on opportunities to help farms improve local water quality. With a background in wildlife biology, he takes an ecosystem approach to addressing watershed restoration issues. Matt lives with his family in the beautiful northern Shenandoah Valley, and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities that allow him to connect with nature. 
• Alston Horn is a CBF Restoration Field Specialist. Alston works with agricultural producers and landowners to improve water quality and increase farm production through improved grazing practices. Alston grew up on his family's commercial beef cattle farm in the Shenandoah Valley and lives there with his family.
