Open to all educators grades k-12.   
What can fish tell us about the health of our waterways?  Come spend 5 days and 4 nights exploring Virginia’s waterways and the Bay.  These hands-on investigations will include the ecology of commercial and recreational fishing. Participants will work on ways to connect their students to fishing in and out of the classroom and how it relates to the health of the Bay. No previous fishing knowledge or experience required.    
Length & Location: 5 days total; 4 local field investigation days traveling across the piedmont and coastal plain of Virginia with overnight accommodations in Virginia state park cabins.  Final locations coming soon.  
Cost: $300.  
Credit: Maryland teachers are eligible for 3 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for successful course completion. Virginia teachers are eligible for documentation of 45 contact hours for successful course completion.
