Welcome to our first Miss Mermaid USA fundraiser for Chesapeake Bay Foundation! 

Our winner of the 2021 pageant was Miss Mermaid Maryland Felicia Flaherty (@feliciawithfins)! Her platform is to protect her home waters through CBF, which protects the largest estuary in the country including DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Throughout her reign as Miss Mermaid USA (which extends into 2022 until she competes at the next Miss Mermaid International!) we will be helping to support this worthy cause which protects the largest estuary in the country!

This calendar highlights the birthdays of each of our 52 state queens. The queens of each birth-month who progressed furthest in the pageant are featured for each month’s spread and sides. Also included are important international environmental, marine and social holidays so you can celebrate every mermaid-themed day!

About Chesapeake Bay Foundation:

CBF is committed to making the Bay and its rivers and streams—from New York to Virginia—healthy and productive again. Help us support their vision of sustainable populations of crabs, fish, and oysters; of waters where our children and grandchildren can swim safely.

CBF is funded mostly by individual donors. Donations large and small help support CBF's on-the-water field experiences for students and teachers, tree plantings, oyster restoration, advocacy for stronger laws protecting the Bay, and litigation against polluters when necessary.

Every gift makes a difference!

• $25 can plant five native trees as a streamside buffer.
• $50 can grow 5,000 native oysters.
• $140 can send two students for a day of learning in and around the Bay.
• $500 can build 10 reef balls which are effective and safe artificial homes for oysters.
