Welcome to my Chesapeake Bay Foundation Walk the Watershed page. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about my Walk the Watershed Journey.
As you all know, I spend much of my time and energy thinking about, talking to you about, and working on saving the Chesapeake Bay. Why? Because I see the potential that a restored Chesapeake Bay provides. I hope for a Chesapeake Bay that is fishable and swimmable throughout. That is teeming with life, from grasses, to crabs, to oysters. And that's what I am working for at CBF each and every day.
Over the next few weeks, I hope to raise awareness and support for CBF and for Saving the Bay. The goal for our team is to walk 200 miles - the entire length of the Chesapeake Bay from the headwaters of the Susquehanna to Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach. You can join my team, walk with me, or donate on my page. My team's goal is $500.00. Can you help us beat it?
For a little extra incentive, I will be sending a dozen oysters or 6-pack of beer of your choice to the supporter with the largest donation as a thank you for your support!
I hope you will support these efforts by donating to my page or by joining our team.
Every gift makes a difference!
- $25 can plant five native trees as a streamside buffer.
- $50 can grow 5,000 native oysters.
- $140 can send two students for a day of learning in and around the Bay.
- $500 can build 10 reef balls which are effective and safe artificial homes for oysters.
Please donate on my page today or join my team and help me meet my fundraising goal and help CBF Save the Bay!
