Hello! A little over a week and half into the Walk the Watershed challenge and I have completed just over 50 of the 200 miles I hope to run or walk by June 30th. And thanks to the generosity of friends family, Team Village People have raised over $750 for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Thank you! Stay safe and Healthy!

Welcome to my Chesapeake Bay Foundation Walk the Watershed page and Team Village People!
Life feels very uncertain these days so I like to focus on a few constants to stay steady. Top of the list are - being around my family (if even virtually!), staying connected to my village of friends, getting outside to run and walk and my desire & passion for the Chesapeake Bay to be cleaner for my kids and their generation than it was when I started with CBF in 2007.
I can focus on that list as I pledge to get outside, walk the watershed, and spread the Save the Bay message every step of the way!
You may be singing "Y-M-C-A" in your heads with the team name but it is not those Village People inspiring this team name. I am fortunate to live in a neighborhood where we take care of each other like a village from small things to life changing things. We have walked many real and virtual miles together and I can think of no one better to help inspire me, come along for some miles, help Save the Bay than this group.
Over the next few weeks and 200 miles, I hope to raise awareness on why cleaning the Bay means so much, help bring dollars in at a time when funds are a bit tighter and connect with my village to stay steady in uncertain times.
Want in on the fun? Join Team Village People - put in some miles with me! Or donate to the effort! Or do both if you are so inclined.
Take care, get outside, help Save the Bay and stay connected to your village.
