2020 Walk the Watershed

The Walking Sticks

Welcome to our Chesapeake Bay Foundation Walk the Watershed page! We are the Walking Sticks! The core membership of The Walking Sticks is made up of the CBF Pennsylvania Restoration Field Staff and manager. The Restoration Field Program has been serving PA landowners for close to 20 years. With a combined total of 70 years of field experience, PA Field Staff have assisted thousands of landowners with the design, implementation, and stewardship of their riparian buffers. Field staff has supported thousands of acres of stream buffers by offering advice on species, guidance on removal of noxious and invasive plants, and providing free native trees to offset mortality. We also work with landowners to plant new riparian buffers, upland areas, and mine lands. Over the last 8 years and with assistance of grants and donations, field staff has handed out a combined total of tens of thousands of trees to landowners across the PA Chesapeake Bay Watershed!

I hope you will join our efforts by donating to our page or joining our team! If you join our team, I hope you will help us walk (run, bike, skip, or jump) a combined 200 miles and help raise vital funding for CBF.
