Even though I'm not in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed for most of this "Walk the Watershed" campaign season, I'm joining with Martha and others to raise money for the Chesapeake Bay and track our activities.
Its pretty easy to rack up miles while cycling, so I've set my personal goal at 200 miles and therefore the team goal at 300.
Here's more good information on what the CBF does that they have provided . . .
Welcome to my Chesapeake Bay Foundation Walk the Watershed page.
Over the next few weeks, I will raise awareness and vital funding towards CBF’s mission to save the Bay. Every dollar raised supports restoration and education efforts across the watershed. This important work provides a stable ecosystem for the 18 million people and 3,000 species of plants and animals throughout the watershed.
I hope you will support these efforts by donating to my page or by joining my team. Together we will take steps towards clean air, clean water, and sustainable resources for all. A healthy Bay means a healthy community.
Every gift makes a difference!
· $25 can plant five native trees as a streamside buffer.
· $50 can grow 5,000 native oysters.
· $140 can send two students for a day of learning in and around the Bay.
· $500 can build 10 reef balls which are effective and safe artificial homes for oysters.
Please donate on my page today and help me meet my fundraising goal and help CBF Save the Bay!
